This wee country is filled with such beauty that is only made better when the sun comes out.  This was a fantastic e-shoot with a fantastic couple.  A perfect prelude to their most beautiful wedding day.

"She had eyes like sunsets, and every time she blinked it felt like the end of the world, otherwise knows as night."

- Jarod Kintz

Late November 2015 we met beside Samson and Goliath and were greeted by a lovely low winter sun.  The past 3 weekends leading up until then and the weekends after were terrible.  Wild and wet but we hit it lucky.  Beautiful low winter sun, though a very fresh breeze joined in too and froze us half to death.

I had been wanting to shoot beside the cranes for ages and when Rebecca and James got in touch it didn't take much effort to decide where to go.

We even managed to sneak onto some of the Game of Thrones set!

For the love of pizza.

Earlier in the year I blogged about Steven and Jemma's e-shoot which also featured on The Promise NI wedding blog where they told us how they met in a pizza take-away!  In June I had the great pleasure of being part of their fantastic wedding day.

I guess weddings make most people happy.  There will always be the occasional family tension or a missing loved one but generally they are just good old happy days.  This wedding was a happy day filled with kids and sweets.  As Steven and Jemma have 2 young daughters they had to be catered for so there was one of the best stocked sweetie carts I have ever seen.

About me

Since my childhood I have loved looking at photographs. I love getting
lost in the details. They can take me to places I have never been before.
Growing up I would spend hours daydreaming about the places I
discovered through them. Taking photographs has become more a part of
my life with each passing year.

I want people to get lost in my photographs the way I did as a child. I
want memories to come flooding back for them. When I capture a
wedding I want it to tell a story for anybody who looks at the images. I
take it as a great honour to be allowed into people’s lives on such special
days and ask to capture the memories for them.

I love using shadows and light to reveal people’s character.

I live in Newtownards have been blessed with a fantastic wife and we have 3 rather lively kids
to keep us busy. My faith is the backbone of this business. To do
something you love is great and is something to thank God for.
